Liaison Areas:

Jim Beattie, MLIS, is the Health Sciences Libraries librarian liaison to the Medical School.  He received his MLIS from the University of Texas at Austin.  Prior to working at the Health Sciences Libraries Jim held a faculty appointment, as an Educational Services Librarian, at NYU School of Medicine and more recently was a Senior Knowledge Consultant at Allina Hospitals & Clinics in the Twin Cities.  Jim is a  a 2007 Fellow of the the Frye Leadership Institute. He has a personal and professional interest in evidence-based practice, particularly helping practicing healthcare professionals efficiently access the best available information in support of their patient care decisions.
