305 Diehl Hall

Connie recently starting working at the University, but comes with over 20 years of experience as a Clinical Librarian.  She previously managed the Mayo Clinic Hospital Library and served as the librarian, in addition to providing research and publishing education.  She did postgraduate work on Evidence Based Medicine at the University of Illinois – Chicago and research and writing Systematic Reviews at the University of Michigan.

Connie's background includes clinical rounding, teaching, research, resident education, medical school education, and emerging technologies for medical education.  In addition, she has taught CME classes for the Michigan State Medical Society. Connie is C.I.T.I. certified as a principal investigator for research and often collaborates with faculty and students on both University and Hospital related projects.

Connie is currently working on embedding the Clinical Librarian into patient rounding, resident didactics, grand rounds, point of access technologies, evidence based medicine, publishing and research with the Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation (PM&R) residents and faculty and hopes to expand the program to other specialties.  The program has been well received and many residents are already collaborating with Connie on case studies and systematic reviews.  Connie is not limited to PM&R and can provide consults in other areas of medicine and medical education.
