Every AHC college/school has a librarian liaison who is available to work with instructors to support teaching needs. Contact your librarian liaison to discuss ways we can support your course, or contact the reference desk at 612-626-3260 or by email: firstname.lastname@example.org.
Course Integrated Instruction
Librarians work with instructors to improve students' information fluency by providing in-class instruction on library resources and processes. Sessions are tailored to the specific needs of the students and instructor in order to support assignments and optimize library research skills. Contact your liaison to discuss your course needs.
Library Course Pages
In collaboration with the instructor, librarians can create a Library Course Page organizing resources and services identified for use with specific courses. Contact your liaison to discuss creation of a CourseLib page for your class.
Consultations - one on one and small group
Students, faculty, and staff can meet with a librarian for personalized, in-depth assistance with researching health and biomedical science-related topics. This service is extremely helpful for students who are having problems efficiently researching a topic for a class assignment. The individualized session teaches strategies for successful research for the assignment, and these skills support future success at meeting information needs. Request a Consultation.
The University Libraries offer a wide variety of in-person workshops on topics such as database searching, thesis formatting, data management plans, and the basics of copyright. Visit the Workshop Registration page for details on class offerings and times.
