Literature search

Connect with a librarian to request literature searches to find articles that support research projects, courses, grants, publications, and more.

Through this service, librarians partner with individuals or groups to find relevant articles by

  • clarifying research questions,
  • identifying relevant databases,
  • optimizing search strategies,
  • delivering search results in a variety of formats, and
  • documenting search methodologies.

The literature search service is freely available to Twin Cities campus affiliated faculty and staff who are requesting a search on a health sciences topic.

Search requests by faculty and staff in the health sciences colleges/schools are prioritized for completion.

Literature search requests by affiliates of other colleges/schools on the Twin Cities campus may be accepted but service is dependent on librarian capacity. HSL Librarians may refer requests from non-health sciences affiliates to colleagues in other University Libraries departments for possible consultation.

Search requests initiated by students will be directed to the Meet with a Librarian form for consultation.
