Building access requirements

A U Card, Fairview badge or M Health badge is required for current University students, faculty, staff, and clinicians. Hold your U Card to any card reader during open library or building hours.

Members of the public may access the Health Sciences Library using a Friends of the Libraries, Library Special Borrowers, or Guest card at any of the three public area entrances, Monday - Thursday, 8AM - 7PM, Friday, 8AM - 6PM. Members of the public without a library card may schedule an appointment to visit onsite by contacting [email protected].

Access to the Wangensteen Historical Library collection is available by appointment after an initial remote or online consultation.  Appointments require a one week advance notice.

Restrooms

Restrooms located in the Health Sciences Education Center are on floors 2, 3, 4, and 5 near the elevators. The restroom on floor 4 is all-gender.

Restrooms located in the Phillips-Wangensteen Building are on floors 3, 4, and 5 between the building's two elevator lobbies on the north side. An all-gender restroom on floor 2 is located near the group study rooms and down the hall from the student locker rooms.
